My radio
career started off at Watford Hospital Radio where I gained
much experience and insight into the world of broadcasting. |
 |
|
 |
| It’s even
rumoured that ‘Pat Sharp’ may have even started his
broadcasting career at WHR!? |
 |
| The
equipment at Watford was of a high standard which helped to
produce quality shows, even if it were for a small captive
audience. I also worked in the record library and on outside
broadcasts. |
 |
| Whilst
living on the Isle of Wight I worked for the I.O.W Radio
Roadshow out and about the island with their presenters and
alongside people such as Tony Blackburn, David Hamilton, and
David ‘Kid’ Jensen. |
 |
| I
also spent much time in the studios learning from the
techniques of various presenters whilst they were on and off
air and I was also given the opportunity to use all the
facilities available to rehearse, produce and present my own
shows. |
 |
 |
After
taking my DJ career as far as I could in the I.O.W I
returned back to Watford and joined Oasis FM (later to
become Mercury FM) in St Albans working on a Sunday,
Monday and Tuesday night 10pm – midnight and
covering at weekends. |
|
 |
| I am
currently looking for a new challenge in broadcasting. |
